Can I get some opinions please?
    http://www.geekstir.com/

This is the second time I've changed the layout of my site in about a month...I didn't really like how it looked before. Now, I think I have something a little more permanent.

ALSO...I know a lot of people have flash disabled, but it doesn't matter, because I have it so the layout still works with it disabled.

If the site doesn't work, sorry, I'm planning on moving the site to a bigger server in a few hours.

Looks pretty good! A few things I would change, because I'm picky:

    - Change the format of the "latest comments" portion of the left sidebar. Right now, they don't show enough text to be useful. Perhaps you could allow 2-3 times as many characters. I think people need to see more of the comment to click on them.
    - Get rid of the "You are here: Home" thing on the bottom, or restyle it.

The individual post pages look good, too!

    Thanks!

The blue is too low contrast to the background making the header text illegible - same for the digg count, and the digg link is... fugly. WAY too much white-space since ... oh, wait - nevermind, that's my normal browsing habits nuetering the content of your site since I've got plugins off, and an adblock in place. I don't know what that crap flash rubbish is at the top since it appears to be broken and/or blocked in all browsers on my setup, but it consumes ENTIRELY too much space before actually letting the user get to the content... Wait, FF is trying to do something with it - ah, goofy flipbook navigation. I'd axe that bloated crap outright.

Code-wise you've got all your presentational images in the markup, an EXTREME case of classitus - just the header alone has about three times the number of DIV's that should be needed, much less the images as text for elements that should REALLY just be text (for *** sake you used ARIAL). The header ALONE is 1.3k of HTML for something that should likely be well under 256 bytes.

You've got sections with headers all over the page without one header tag to be found, 115k in javascripts and 34k of HTML for 2k of actual CONTENT, code-wise it's a train wreck.

I like the flash, it is quite good but not so sure about the colors. Is't it too dark? And the colors of the logo don't fit the whole picture at all. Maybe that blue stroke could be removed too so that it creates a feel of freadom and space. ... but that's just my thoughts, otherwise prety good man
