    Hey All,

I've been working on this site, at least as a concept, for a while, and have built the site over the past month or so. I think I'm ready for a first go at a review for it now. Let me know what you think. Ideas, suggestions, praise. :) Oh, and I forgot the URL: www.canadaphotoseries.com

    Thanks!

This site has a lot of potential. Once it starts to fill up with photos, it will be a great resource.

How did you get the photos? Where they all taken by you/the members of your forum?

Thanks. :) Some of the photos are mine, some are from members of the forum, and some are from stock sites.

The plan is to add new country/region sites to the network, so I'll have Canada, USA, UK, Australia, South Africa, etc...

well i know the site is new. but to go to cites that don't have photos may be a bit of a turn off to visitors.

But that is just a nit pick :)

Yeah... they will slowly fill up with photos as they're submitted... that's one of the reasons I have the (##) next to the provinces/cities, so people know where the photos are. ;)

I love the layout. (Which program(s) did you use to create it?)

The only thing I encountered was that when I clicked on one of your buttons like 'FAQ' or 'Contact' I tend to click in the red, not on the word so to say, but then the link doesn't work. I had to click on the word itself before it took me to the page.
It kind of confused me, because when I moved my mouse over the 'FAQ' button, it changed colors and I think that led me to believe I could click in the entire area.

Hm, after reading this I'm not sure if I make sense, but yeah. :)

    Keep it up!

Nice site. A larger logo/header might be a good addition. Also missing is an explanation of how people might purchase reproduction rights. I assume people wanting to post pics there would appreciate some financial return. Of course, this would not preclude use by schools and home use on a no pay basis. As to advertising pricing, wait until you have good traffic to decide this. Advertisers want to know what your traffic is. Low traffic = low rates. My advice is to concentrate on your marketing, then worry about advertising rates.

Thanks for your feedback. As for reproduction rights, that is not the purpose of the site. If someone wants to inquire about purchasing a photo, I will direct them to contact the photographer directly. However, you are right in that I should add that into the FAQ's. Thanks. :)

WRT advertising - my initial thought was the same as yours: wait until traffic is up. The reason I ask is because I've already have several inquiries about advertising on the site, which makes setting it up somewhat of a priority. ;)

Website in itself looks very bland, the idea is good and your photo's are superb!! you just need to work on the front end.

Your site looks refreshingly clean and professional. Love the photos.

Your sitemap is quite long, any chance of restructuring/reorganizing it, maybe into three colums?
