    Hey everyone,

I've been working on a new project and would love to get some feedback from the community here.

The site is called Alien Intel (https://alienintel.ai). It's an AI news aggregator that summarizes the latest articles and stories in the artificial intelligence space. The goal is to give people a quick way to get an overview of what's happening in AI without having to read through dozens of full articles.

I'd really appreciate any thoughts you have. I'm especially interested in feedback on:

    • The overall concept: Is this something you would find useful?
    • Usability: Is the site easy to navigate and understand?
    • Design and layout: How does it look? Any first impressions?
All feedback, positive or negative, is welcome. I'm just looking for honest opinions.

    Thanks for taking a look!

Hey! The idea is cool — an AI news aggregator can definitely work, especially when you want to stay updated quickly but don’t have time to read full articles. For usability, it’d be great if you could filter news by topics or dates, that would make it even more convenient. The design looks modern and clean, which is a big plus. Overall, I think this kind of thing will find its audience if you keep making it more intuitive and fast. Looking forward to updates!

I can only see a handful of articles, no ability to scroll to older content, no tags, no search.

The search console is full of this

It's slow to load with more errors

I recommend getting new content from the feeds and storing the info locally - it's faster - and then grabbing the whole thing when someone clicks. It looks like maybe you're trying to build the list on the fly. That's slow and inefficient and if you get a decent amount of traffic you'll find your sources will limit your daily hits.

It looks pretty good on desktop and mobile but I loathe dark mode and the purple is awful. Unless you're running a brothel I'd avoid that combination.

There's no obvious benefit to logging in or signing up, I'd hide that at the bottom of the page or add the benefits to the sign in/create account modals.

    Here was my original message:

But after checking the console, I see you are fetching the content from the database. However, you need to go through your code and remove the console.log messages you used for development and debugging

Also, please pick another colour palette. Coinsider typical color pallets for a news website and what your audience expects.

It has a clean, futuristic design but lacks clear navigation and content depth. Suggestions: 1) Add a clear menu for easy access to key sections. 2) Include detailed information about services or products. 3) Improve mobile responsiveness for better user experience. 4) Enhance SEO with relevant keywords and meta descriptions. 5) Incorporate a contact form or chatbot for user engagement. These changes can boost usability and credibility.

If this were a business website offering services or similar, the color scheme you chose might be acceptable.
But since the site is more like a news or content platform, the chosen colors are completely out of place.
The current palette is very harsh on the eyes and makes reading uncomfortable.
You should change it to lighter colors.
The best option would be to keep the background white and use dark gray for the text.
That kind of contrast is much easier to read and more suitable for content-heavy websites.
