    Hello DigitalPointers,

    My name is Edward and I create beautiful and functional websites. That's probably everything you need to know about me for now.

    I came here at you to ask for some feedback and criticism (be it positive or not). I have been into web design fir 3 years, and recently decided to jump on it full-time.

    If you can, please tell me your opinion about any of the following work samples. My target is to provide my clients quality, so if you feel that any of my works lacks quality, I invite you to criticize the hell out of it.

    NOTE: The works below are cropped to a really small dimension. If you want to see any of the works below in full size and high quality, you can visit my portfolio website.

    I can only upload 5 images due to forum restrictions. You can find the rest of them on my portfolio website.

    I appreciate any comment and I will return the favor if you have also need feedback for anything.

    Also, if you are interested in working with me, just send me a PM. I will happily give DP members a special offer.

    Thank you.

    Keep it up, but in my opinion, you should avoid too much unnecessary contents. Make your page as free, easy to navigate and easy to find information as possible.

    @ajaira
    Thank you for the kind words.

    To answer your question: no, I am using jQuery, but without any plugins. I just wrote a little bit of code in it for the rollovers.

    @mds
    A million thanks for your answer, sir.

    This is exactly what I am trying to do. I'm going to revise my website soon and will keep your excellent suggestion in mind. Thank you once again.

    I love the mouseover thing, but the content is almost suffering as a result of how cool it is :) What I mean by that is my eyes went straight to the middle, skipping the green header (I'd ditch it, too- go simple) and your intro text, and I played around with the mouseovers a little. Next I read the "What Can I Do For You" but had to scroll down for it, before finally going back to the top to see what I missed...not the best UX.

    At the end of that section there's a "Are you interested?" button which is a cool idea, however clicking on it doesn't do anything since I'm already at the bottom of the page when I see it. I'd remove it or replace it with an arrow pointing down.

    Another idea is to have a floating sidebar (position:fixed) instead of the bottom form thing. Don't make your prospective clients scroll all the way to the bottom to contact you- put it nicely on the right side of their window and keep it in their view. Try a split test in Google Analytics (Experiments under Content) and see which gets you more emails.

    Before I say anything else, I want to point out that I have made some updates to the portfolio today, so you are all invited to check them out.

    First of all, thanks a lot for the comment and suggestions.

    I like the idea of my visitors being attracted by the portfolio, and I don't consider this a sign of bad UX.

    But I will take your other idea (the one regarding the "Are you interested?" button) into consideration. I will probably make it highlight the contact form after it scrolls down the page.

    Thank you once again for all your comments.

    They look good, but they look a bit generic to me. I thin you need to add some elements that make the things more standout and unique. :)

    this has my vote too. All WP sites tend to look alike. Be unique, differentiate yourself.

    Also, to all romanian-only pages, I'd add an english version too, as like it or not,
    english IS the international language of the web.
    (I know, google does auto-translate, but still I'd add a custom transtation)
    hope this helps...

    I'm planning a re-design for it, richer in graphics. Also, my site is English-only.

    Thanks for your feedback, please keep them coming so I can improve it!

    This is spam, but thank you for the bump anyways.

    If anyone else has an honest opinion, I'd be happy to hear it.
