I would like to receive some honest feedback about the content that people would like to see on a technology blog. In essence, what sort of content would people like to read about that relates to technology.

Also, do you have any idea where I can get some great content that people would like information on. Personally, my goal for my blog is to bring light to different issues relating to technology and be able to discuss that with people in a way that will help them understand the new trends and issues clearly. Basically, my purpose is to help people with the confusion surrounding technology and its drastic pace.

So, I feel it would be most effective to research and study subject matters that would be most interesting for people to comprehend or even build knowledge about.

I recently wrote about the wikipedia enclyclopedia and its content and how it
relates to the issue of crediblity in terms of factual content. I wrote about this article, because I remember consulting with many of my friends who still think that wikipedia is completely a factual source for online content.

In essence, its these issues about the world wide web that interests me and that I would like to shed light on. I realize after much thought that this blog of mine would be most effective if I can grasp that handle of appropriate content and create a blog about issues that people are interested about rather than creating content as I propose. What do you think of my idea or do you think I should retain my self to my own perception of what are the technological issues out there.

Thanks. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Well first, there's a big difference between a "technology blog" and one dealing with content just about the Web.

If you're predominantly interested in Web-related issues, then why not keep doing things like you mentioned with Wikipedia... see what's been in the news, what misconceptions people (especially beginners) have, and expose the flaws in what they're saying. For instance... lots of people are still too afraid to shop online b/c they're worried about identity theft. You could discuss how information is secured, what the statistics actually are about the number of people victimized versus the number who have been perfectly fine, etc. Another Web-based issue is the "danger" of Myspace. Discuss the safety measures available, and again, back it up with stats as to how few people really are affected. You could even take the same principle to off-line tech issues... like the good old "cell phones give you brain cancer" one.
