Fedex Sucks! Don't use them!

So I have this customer send back an item that she bought for $49.95 via Fedex.

I find out that if the customer fails to check the box on the form for delivery speed, Fedex automatically sends it at the fastest possible rate!!!!

I then incurred an $80.15 charge for shipping!!!

If I don't complain within 15 days then I have no recourse, which unfortunately I missed the cutoff.

    My advice: Don't use them!

UPS and DHL are cheaper and better.

You're right, Fedex should make ground the default and allow customers to upgrade to faster service during shipping if they realize they made a mistake and want it shipped quicker.

Yeah, I never told her to use Fedsux. I always use USPS for the small stuff and UPS for heavier things. <sigh>

All depends if you want to keep the customer or not, but if someone sent a $50 item back to me using $80 postage, they could consider their refund cancelled!

I agree Fedex is the worst of the top three. UPS being the best and than DHL.

Every time I order something and it gets shipped UPS, the item goes on world tour and arrives weeks later looking like it was repacked four times by somebody with a packing tape fetish and an unnatural hatred for cardboard boxes.
