I am renewing my shipping contract with my carrier and was curious which do you prefer to receive packages from? When you order online do you like to see UPS or FedEx ground deliver the package?
UPS. Working for a business who ships out quite a bit of stuff UPS is MUCH better than FedEx. We used to use fedex and constantly had problems. We now use UPS and they are much better. Just today I got a bill from FedEx where one of our clients provided a account number to be billed by fedex. They could not read the account number for some odd reason and I was billed instead of them contacting the client. I had to go through the hassle of dealing with this. UPS is just far superior from the shippers standpoint.
I haven't tried getting a package yet from UPS but I am pretty happy with the service provided by fedex.
I am from Memphis TN (The Home of FedEx). My husband has worked for both UPS and Fedex, my brother worked for FedEx, my dad worked for FedEx, and I worked for UPS. I would say that neither treats their employees that great, but I think FedEx treats their packages slightly better.
I had a customer ship a pack back to me from Fedex. I originally shipped it to her for about $9 via USPS Priority mail. Cost of shipment back? $80 Cost of original product? $49.95 I hate Fedex!
I can't say much for FedEx since I don't use them. I used to use UPS (The Ultimate Parcel Smasher) until I got tired of making claims for damages all the time. Now, I use USPS Priority Mail for all my outbound shipping. In a little over 1 1/2 years I have not had 1 problem with USPS Priority...and I ship glass containers.
i used to like fedex, but then my sister's bf got an internship at UPS, and he somehow converted me into a ups-liker. dont love em yet
