I feel I wasted time and money on my articles and I still haven't submitted them. Way to go google.

You could just use the articles for something else if you don't want to waste them on the article directories.

Yeah, guess my copy of article marketing robot is useless now? I have about 3 new articles for my site instead.

Use them as site content? Whatever you think will be better than submitting them.

Am I the only one here wondering why you'd submit content anywhere other than your own website?

The NY Times covered this today. Like me, they talk call the sites affected "junk sites". Again, great job by Google trying to get rid of the garbage.

It's a strategy to get backlinks, this is not good content, more like hundreds of barely readable spun articles submitted to hundreds of junky article directories that feed thousands of junky scraper blogs. not a surprise that Google would devalue this type of content.

Isn't Google smarter than this though? They know black hat exists, which is why the algorithm has changed frequently throughout it's existence. They have to know this helps them out.

If you are even remotely thinking of spinning or submitting crappily written articles then you don't understand this update. There is still some value, but Google is now able to get a tighter focus on Quality Control. The junk they have removed is just that, JUNK. Your spinners, robots, autoblogs are all now USELESS. thank google for that!
