    Hey,
I am having work done on www.AllDotNet.com to improve the features.

I'm not looking for comments for the design right now, that's still undergoing work as I'm typing.

I am working on the features available on the site.

Can anyone give me suggestions to improve what is currently available or what should/could be added?

    Thanks
    John

It took me a while to find the link to submit on the page.

    Thanks :)

That will be changed with the design, it's something a few people have said to it will be made a lot easier to find :0

    Thanks for the feedback

You can take this as you want but personally I think having the google search box degrades your site, and makes it seems like your directory cant provide sufficient results by itself, just my thoughts. Directory loooks great though, good job.

I hadn't thought about that, I put it on for offering an alternative to my directory if users can't find what they want.

Maybe it will be better to remove it..I will have to think about it.

I removed some of the ads and a few boxes for were for "Coming soon" features, I will just add those as and when they are ready.

    Thanks very much :)

The color scheme of your google search is very difficult to read - I do like your overall look though!

Wow, very few subcategories... You have 21 pages of Arts and Humanities for example. As a directory submitter I probably wouldn't bother to submit knowing that I'd end up on page X. (Ok that was hypothetical... you have all 3 of my sites in there, I must have added during my directory submit rampage 3-4 months ago!). Great job, I'm just commenting :)

John, like the new design. Looks fresh to me.. Agree with ThinkBling about the add link but that's sorted in the new design.. Don't agree with Ernster about the google search box. Looks just fine by me, I know loads of people want to search with google results so when people find your website and use the google search box you'll make some money with it. Agree with roze, maby add some more categories.

I suggest making the logo clickable to the homepage. There's a slight thing with the adsense on the homepage, no displaying completely. For the category pages I would suggest moving the adsense to the right hand side, and create a premium submission for the listings. Ask Jeremy (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=491) his programmer did it for the biz-directory script at kingbloom.com. That way you could generate some more income from the website. You could also add a website review to the listings of your directory. Ask cagintranet (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=4791) he did this for his directory http://pghsource.cagintranet.com/directory/

    Good luck!

I didn't even notice that, thanks!
I am thinking about removing the search feature now though, the directory was a lot smaller and didn't fulfill the needs of all users but I think the directory is large enough to do this now.

Adding subcategories to my to-do list :)

Thanks for your comments, the more the better :)

Thanks for that, not too sure if I can resolve that though but I will see if there is a way to do it.

Just put it on my list :)
I didn't notice the coder did it like that.

Both in the works from my own coder :)

I have a major problem because Ican't accept paypal at all right now so the only income is from adsense.
I'm hoping to find a few long term advertisers that will pay via cheque/money order or bank transfer/deposit. That's the only thing I can dofor now.

The site is growing daily and I have had interest in purchasing ad space but I haven't been able to accept it yet.

    Thanks for all the feedback!
