Hello Guys, Can any one tell me what is the Featured Link in web directories as such it is a paid link. What benefits we get from Featured Link and how to Track if we use Featured link in any directory? How these web directory do promotion of Featured link and what are the area of concern for purchasing any featured Link from any web directory?
You may consider this 1. Not every directory is equal in terms of value to search engines. More editorial (not accept every submitted website just for submission fees), More old age domain, More established, More link popularity = worth to purchase 2. Be selective when you purchase link on directory. There are only few ones that search engine do respect due to their editorial. Most of directory that accept all submission without determine their quality, never reject some low quality sites = less trust to no trust for search engines. 3. Some directory offer less fee for featured link but place it with nofollow or javascript redirect. Be caution about this too.

Featured link provides the link owner more exposure, traffic, hits and is often offered in the top most category of directories. Thus it is beneficial to the buyer. What does the WE denote here? We=Buyer or We=Directory Owner

traffic and exposure is everything for a link. also, featured links tend to get indexed by search engines faster than regular links.
