So what is the penalty in Florida for having a handgun when you are felon, another felony?

 

Florida isn't a state that allows the criminals to have more guns than the law-abiding citizens. You can purchase a gun here as long as paperwork comes back clean and if you shoot a perp coming through your window...he's fair game to lay their and die as you take your time to call the meat wagon..Just have enough towels ready for cleanup.

 

Yes, another felony and I think there is a minimum mandatory as well. You can still buy guns though, form gun shows or private dealers lol

I think, even if a perp breaking in your house, because I'm a felon, I would get charged with at least manslaughter. (I think)

 

Oh yeah, if you are a felon you can get charged with manslaughter until case is through. I was speaking from a victim of crime point of view. Lots of horror stories on both sides of this argument.
