Fear needs to be defeated

This is my first posting. After watching from the outside, I have decided to say something. From what I have read and seen, politians and the media have been pushing this society into a spiral of fear in order to acheive their goal...to stay in power. They advertise that we are not safe and to show no trust to anyone around us. They say it is for our own good but I believe we are not addressing the issue at hand. The attack of 9-11 was vicious and cowardice. The very definition of terrorrism is to use fear to make social change or gain a powerful standing. The only way to defeat fear is to not feel it. But it appears that the group responsible is not the ones continuing this feeling, it is our own society. They have not made an attack in some time and I feel if they really wanted to they could. Still, it is said that we are not safe. When the tragic plane crash of the MLB pitcher first aired, the media hinted attack. If this event occured before 9-11, it would have made the news only after they uncovered the entire story. They broadcast this story for the entire day. I find this behaviour suspicious. If my accusation is true, they do not realize that a society living in fear is on the brink of anarchy and chaos. One misguided step and the results could be disasterous.

Amen. You have a duty to let them know how you feel.
