FB personal profile vs pages

I am not a big FB user but need to set up a site or page for someone that wants to post news of specific topics, but does not want comments, threats and bad language used on her space.

Is a personal FB profile or a page or some other type of Fb product best for this?

Using FB pages you can't disable comments but you can pre-moderate "forbidden" words.

Facebook has designed itself as a Social Media interactive site and as such, doesn't allow you to block comments being posted on your page. However, you do have a couple of options when you post on your Facebook site. You can make your post "Public" so that anyone can see and comment on your post. You can also limit this to "friends" only. There are a number of other settings that you can use to fine tune this as well. But again, you cannot block any and all comments to your posts in Facebook, at least I've never seen a way to do this.

 

I think FB page is more effective instead of Profile.
