What is your favourite command and conquer and why? My favourite was red alert 2 with the prism tanks although it was to easy until the soviets and yuri got air support in yuris revenge.

It's gotta be the Zero Hour add on pack for Generals... I like to play games that use modern warfare.
Saying that, I did enjoy playing Tiberian Sun back in the day for hours on end.

I must admit it took me a while to finish tiberium sun I kept going back to it though, that was the first game where they were using more well known actors in the cut scences, was not so keen on generals not the gameplay or the actual game it was the graphics they felt like they were of a lesser quality so I wasn't impressed.

Mmmm Tiberian Sun... I'm wondering about whether or not to dig it out and play it now when I have some time haha. I have heard that it doesn't work on any operating system above Windows XP though.

I still play Zero Hour to this day! I used to play for hours online, I wasn't very good but it was fun! The challenges in single player mode are great to play through as well.

You can play Tiberium Sun on vista I am pretty certain, the challenges on Zero Hour were very corny but fun although there wasn't much you ould do in the way of customisation if memory serves.

Yeah I agree, the customisation wasn't so good as I used to just build loads of one type of unit and attack (usually the choppers for the air force general). I think they should build another one with realistic armies during today's wartime.

I used to like playing Full Spectrum Warrior and I think they should make a new one.

That was the problem with a couple of C&C games where you could build one type of unit and you would win:
Prism tank in Red Alert 2
    Attack Helicopter in Generals
but in Tiberium Wars you had to have diverse units other wise they would get ko'd

Yep very true... I had to bring some life into Zero Hour at times with the single player and build a different amount of units, just to enjoy the game a bit more rather than just kill the opponent with a massive army. It was pretty annoying however when the opponent would keep building the secret weapons (scud missiles, nukes, Ion Cannons). I always had to have about 6 Aurara bombers to one side just to kill them when I needed to.

At lest there was something to challenge you instead of it being uber easy, that is what made red alert 2 so easy as the prism tank caused additional damage to surrounding units or buildings so you only needed about ten even though their armour was crap they were really powerful and had a massive range. My favourite unit on generals where those trucks with the little block on the back and it was funny how you could upgrade them by running over the enemies rubble.

I can't remember Red Alert 2 too much but I played Red Alert 3 a little on the Xbox 360... It didn't have the same effect though :(
In fact I think I've only played that one for about 5 hours (I only bought the game because it was on offer).

I really do hope they bring out a new Command and Conquer that follows on from Zero Hour.

Command and Conquer is definetley better on the pc than console, I only bought it for PS3 for the trophies, on the C&C forum they are crying out for a new generals game but if it set in the present what weapons would be slightly different from the previous one?

There are many more units to add possibly including:
    • Special Force Squads
    • New Tanks and Airforce
    • Ships

There are other things that could be included with the new game too including new graphics, better camera angles with units taking cover behind walls and buildings during fire fights and stuff... There would be alsorts that could be done to make the game fresh and up-to-date.

I agree with the ships because that is what the game lacked and that was water based combat although I don't know how the GLA would compete with China and USA on the water but it would be a good addition to the game

Maybe the armies don't have to stick with GLA, China and USA... Maybe use different armies such as "Coalition" and "Opposing Forces".

Or possibly if they do use the same armies then as they did, give other armies the advantage over different units. So USA would have a good airforce, China may have a good naval force and GLA with land units... I don't know, just ideas haha

Good idea I think thy do need some new factions if they create a new game maybe an additional one although maybe 4 would be too much although the campaign would be longer

    Red alert 2, i think

It came out in something retarded like 1997, but it was still amazing

My favourite Command & Conquer game was the original one for PS1. I played it a lot when I was about 15-16, and actually completed the game. :D Haven't played any of the newer ones though, only the original, and I still play it occasionally when I can be bothered to setup the PS1. :)

C&C3 (Tiberium Wars) was the first of the series I really got to sit down and play...it holds my "favorite" spot, I suppose :p. I'm a pretty big fan of RA2, as well.
