Favorite tabletop role-playing games?

    I've been getting into tabletop RPGs lately, so far my favorite has been D&D 5th edition. What have your favorites been in the past? Are there any that you guys would recommend?     I got into tabletop RPGs playing a text-based role-playing game on a BBS, and the Hero Quest/Talisman board games. I like them that much that I actually started my own site in this niche.
