    The Earth is almost spherical, doesn't add new information, too, yet we see such statement mentioned widely in scientific books that talk about earth.

    And we see also how they describe it as the only planet that is suitable for life.

    It seems they should not make any mention for these fact at all, since it is known and doesn't add to us any new information.

    Your third point below doesn't add new information to what you are saying here in this point.

    It is an explanation for the meaning.

    When I translated the word cradle, I found in the translation many meanings, one of which is a net of rods, so I decided to tell you the meaning as I understand it in Arabic.

    No other planet is like the Earth, a prepared place for dwelling for us.
    When I look at other planets, this verse has its impact on me and I realize how much God love us.

    What a wonderful planet we are living in.

    All the praises and thanks be to God who designed it for us.

    Edit to add: some people don't like Earth, so they can leave us and live outside rather than stealing our lands, money, organs, etc.
    The earth is for us, not for criminals.

    You claim that mahdan means flat because of the following:
    But you refuse the idea that the Quran can say redundant things. It is above such thing.

    So, if it is known for people for long time that it is flat, then it certainly not what the Quran means.

    One of the meaning of mahd (مهد) is roll. Check in google.

    I didn't put any word that doesn't fit gramatically, contextually, or logically.
    You are either ignorant or dishonest by saying that mahd (مهد) is not the same word mahdan (مَهْدًا). The difference in sound is due to grammaer.

    alllllright, it means "roll" indeed. so you are getting that old and senile.

    mahdan means: roll.
    1) it is an adverb --> check.
    2) its short ---> check.
    3) it adds new information ---> check.
    4) it is in agreement with other verses of the quran --> check.

    mahdan means: cradle.
    1) it is an adverb --> check.
    2) its short ---> check.
    3) it adds new information ---> check.
    4) it is in agreement with other verses of the quran --> check.

    See how your logic is convincing

    May God block you from Him completely, and expose you to all kinds of danger that you mentioned and fill you with shit.

    One which thinks the rules he has chosen to live by apply only to himself and others who have chosen them. Ie, one who doesn't want laws introduced to enforce his religions rules or veiws, education structured to teach about his religious beliefs and who wants to live in a society where public policy is in no way based on his religions teachings and what people are allowed to say is in no way limited to things which aren't contrary to his veiws or sensitivities.

    In short a Muslim who keeps his religion to himself.
