I don't believe this come from God. The God of Christians teaches "Love one another" and "love your enemies". Muhammad's God looks like is teaching distrust to everyone else other than muslims.
When Islam was born, and there were very few followers, they faced severe persecution. Many were tortured and killed. Others, including the Prophet and his family, were exiled in the desert, where they had to wander for 3 years. During this exile, his wife died. Later when Islam grew in strength, it came under constant attacks and had to fight on for survival. During such harsh times, Quran was revealed to the Prophet. It speaks of War, as well as of peace. There certainly could be a few verses that seem unacceptable in today's world. But those were the times of constant war and struggle for survival. I understand. in the Jewish Bible, the first book (Bereshit) is kinda weird. it's not suggest to kill and rape, but it's still weird. but if you don't think that some parts of the Quran are not fair and mean, why do you still support the ones who does?! and why do you support the Sharia? it's even more evil than the Quran!! Women have many rights in the Quran. They are not oppressed at all. Hate sites that claim otherwise are plainly lying. Islam was born in a conservative society. Gays have no rights. Absolutely none. Tell me uplaos, what do you dislike about Sharia. It is certainly harsh at times, but whatever folktales you have heard about it are no more than futile attempts to demonize Islam and Muslims.

Prayer is compulsory 5 times a day... You may pray more than that, but its optional. I'm sorry I did not realize you were gay. If your society accepts you, then there is no problem. But Islam is very conservative. Its God's law. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah as given in the Bible is also repeated in the Quran (Same God). So, if it was prohibited for the Jews, prohibited for the Christians, then certainly is also prohibited for Muslims.
Then if Jesus was a messanger of God, how come He didn't preach the same things Muhammad did? Jesus times were no better than Muhammad's? The more a Christian reads the Koran the more unacceptable muhammad's teaching becomes to him. How can God give two completely different sets of rules and some of them even opposing one another? It is impossible. God's rules are universal ..... unless specifacally addressed.... and if Islam was given to that area only it should stay there for those people only.
