Favicons are out, Blog Icons are in!

There's a new Wordpress plugin out there I just installed today. It's so my blog will show these new avatars called Blog Icons. It's the same principle as a favicon, but bigger. (80x80 instead of 16x16.)

Basically, just like you would add favicon.ico to your root directory, you add blogicon.gif to your root directory.

    Site: http://www.blogicon.org

    Anyone else like the idea?

It's cool for comments...otherwise I don't really care...like it's just something else to fit the mold.

I like it, thanks for sharing. but it's still nice to have a favicon.

I like it, i just redid a blog of mine to make sure it has more visual things in it. This could be added too.

Yep, just like having a favicon, it only takes a few seconds to add one.

Didn't Gravatar already do this? Lol.

The difference is that Gravatar requires a signup. Blogicon is just like a favicon (it's on your site with no need to sign-up for a third party service.)

Perhaps they'll be integrated sometime though.
