Although favicons are small in size, they can play a big role in the memorability and branding of your website. Here's a couple of resources I've gathered that can help you create a fitting favicon for your websites. Favicon Gallery - List of Popular Favicons and Styles 256pixels - Hosts Favicon Contests Favicon.cc - Allows you to design Favicons online ConvertIcon - Converts .PNGs to .ICOs Dynamic Drive Icon Generator - Converts most image file types to .ICOs Delta Tango Bravo - A nice list of favored favicons I hope you find these useful.
Anyone ever had a favicon show up fine in Firefox but look pixelated in IE? I'm not sure why it's doing that.
I've use the favicon.cc one...pretty much the first week after I installed WP for my blog! came out ok...then again my skills on such a small scale are quite amateur have to check out the others though, maybe they offer something more for the artistically challenged!
