It clearly says that if the person doesn't pay then that would be the end of it, lots of people took pity on the kid and bid high with no intent to pay so he would be able to keep the Christmas present.

Get the kid some help and support the kid vs making an enemy and I would like to see more adults spend more time with there kids vs the alternative of letting drugs occupy there time.

being a drug user means you're automatically not a "good citizen"? I don't use drugs, but don't agree with this statement at all...

 

Yes, society will incarcerate you if your a drug abuser. That's how you know when your not a good citizen. When your behind bars.

 

You know there are drug users in the military right? Those people are serving their country, but have a bad habit... And now they're not considered "good citizens"?

Also, if being behind bars is what makes you a bad citizen, it's not so much whether or not you do something wrong, but if you get caught...

 

The kid and his dad get along like mates (or so it says on that page) and the kid found this a joke at first, but then realised it wasn't but realised it was his own fault.

I think it's a good thing that he got his present in the end, but this would have taught him a good lesson.

 

Good it serves the kid right.
