It is not unique to East, the issue is sex here not marriage, in most of the world many people lose their virginity before the age of 16. Where you mentioned, marriage is mostly a part of the culture where girls usually aren't a part of the work life and premarital sex or moving in with, with no engagement, isn't welcome.
good point, we forgot about that early couple life over there....but northpontiaki wont change his mind as if he was there with a candle and a passport of the daughter okay, now imagine that a father 40 years old and a daughter >20, you still be saying that a relationship between 2 possible only by force? Hell no, I'll tell you. On the West a girl 20 years old can do whatever she want. You should watch some english TV series, like Eastenders, Hollyoaks, etc.
You're not reading nor thinking very well. I've never said it is an issue of force, but of power. Yes, "I still be [sic] saying a 40 year old father and a 20 year old daughter only [sic] by power." I understand you cannot distinguish between power and force, but that is your limitation. Now, aside from the fascinating exchange on the limitations of learning English as a Second Language, perhaps you can explain why you seem to be justifying a father impregnating his daughter?
Regardless of age, the girl is obviously traumatized and has either been bought up to assume it is acceptable or it has been going on for a long period of time - in which case the father abused her trust and his position as the protector dominating his role as a father figure. If the allegations are true and she hasn't been schooled I would say the father new what his intentions were and makes the case even more sick. What I don't get is why the extended family never came forward and put it to an end, maybe they had no idea until she fell pregnant? As for power and force debates - both are used in any situation of pedophilia and incest. Pedophiles feed off the vulnerable children using power in many ways to coax them and in the end force to get what they want. Incest doesn't just start out of thin air either it is the same deal, even in consenting situations one is more dominant than the other, other wise how would they get there in the first place?
I fully agree. I tried to make the distinction between force and power in order to help N_F_S see the argument he was in fact making, which is an inexcusable crime and breach of trust. But I got nowhere. Perhaps you'll do better.
I have a tendency to fuel the fire in recent posts so I have made a resolution to explain a few times my logical thinking then defer the argument to agree to disagree....but I saw your point I guess it is all in the eye of the beholder.
Force? Power? I dont mind whatever it is, force or power, Im saying there are people who want it without force and without power. You just stick to the words, not to what I said. How are you going to jail a 40 year old father and 20 year old daughter then? Tell me. What are you going to use in court, if he did not raped her for example. Just saying a definition that he is a father and she is a daughter wont be enough. If its your personal opinion, thats fine, Im talking in general.
Oh my god. Man, you really are working hard to support the unsupportable. Well, in my country, anyway, a father having sex with his daughter, and the legal principles therein. Hmmmmmmmmm.....yep, that's a toughie. <Sigh>>. Fom the "law" of nature, which takes a fairly dim view of inbreeding, to my country's legal system, anyway, a father engaging in sex with his daughter is, uh, yep, a criminal act. No question of "forced" or not. Incest is a crime punishable by prison. Period. Here, a couple of other tidbits of joy: More, a two second web search yields what is to most people commonsense, but to N_F_S confounding beyond belief: http://www.faqs.org/health/topics/68/Incest.html N_F_S, if it pleases you to dance around one of the most destructive things a parent can wreak upon a trusting child, you'll have to get your jollies in private.
