I am currently doing a great diet that has helped me loose alot of weight, I was thinking of starting a blog, with tips on what to eat and when, and writing alot of aricles, like what to eat daily, and good diet and workout plans for people, is this too saturated of a market for this?
The kind of blogs that are still working are blogs like "how I lost X pounds". People like honest conversation and if they can see how something worked for other people they would be inclined to try it themselves. So if you're fat or if you know a fat person trying to lose weight, you should track your/his/her progress and put it online. Also, allow me to recommend an affiliate product with which you could monetize your blog. It's called Proactol. It's a fat binder. Various calculators, scripts, feed readers, flash movies, case studies, 20 web site templates, 144 content articles. Commisions range from $20 for one box to $130 for 8 boxes. Campaigns like "Get a free box", "Proactol featured in The Telegraph", "Lose weight for your wedding", "Weight loss after pregnancy"... and so many other resources. Join and see for yourself! Yes, I agree with chazilles-- people like reading about how others are losing weigt. I would make it a more personal dialogue, rather than a general advice blog. "How is your diet going?"-- works. Q...
I have already lost 20lbs, I think that might be enough to start, and track my weight loss to help motivate others. I could also write good articles about stuff like HIIT, and post calculators.
Alright, I am looking into that Proactol affiliate program, they have 144 pre-writen articles, I was considering posting them, but doesn't google dislike dupe content, and it would be bad to use those, right?
I really don't think any market is too saturated. Competition is good, you have just as much potential of succeeding in a niche that has a lot of competition or hardly any. Without competition your niche is worthless and you won't make much money. So i suggest you do what you have planned and if it doesn't work then well atleast you tried. But if your diet actually works I believe that it will work. My brother is doing a 3 month 6 pack blog for himself just to keep him going, but I think if he actually tried selling a product and got some traffic to it, he could actually make some money.
People are definitely looking for blogs, that describe people personal experience with diets, or anything these days.
Diggity, you can use the scripts and BMI calculator there by simply adding their HTML code to your sites. You can download them in the resource area. Ofcourse, you have to rewrite articles. You write on good article from 5-10 articles from the 144. But that's just to give a scientific approach. Your experience with losing weight is the most important. Good luck!
theres never such a thing as too much saturation, if you have an interesting angle and know how to promote it, theres still money in ANY niche.
