I bet you should try submitting your link/article to some high-pr networking sites. Like, Digg, StumbleUpon..etc.
I must say i started to use Digg and things did improve a little but nothing majorly. I also bookmark with google - but im still not setting the world alight, any other tips?
sitemaps are usefull only if you have really stupid structure so not all links can be found. best way to get indexed is to put link to your website on the one that is already promoted and has good rank. you can go to Links section here on DP and buy some links that have PR - you will get indexed in several days. p.s. i never used sitemaps and all my websites are indexed ok
Simply post your link to the big sites visited by google on a daily basis like the social bookmarking sites as stumbleupon, digg, flickr etc and you could get indexed in 24 hrs.
-first you must optimize your site for your targeted keywords -go to google webmaster tools and submit your site map - Write and submit articles to the article directories. - Leave comments on other people’s blogs with a backlink to your site. - Answer people’s questions on Yahoo! Answers - Home. - Post in forums and have a link to your site in your signature. - Write a press release and submit it to PRWeb::The Online Visibility Company
the most fastest tested by myself is making an adwords campaign (it doesn't matter the ammount, google will cache your site in minutes/hours)
Digg Folkd Wirefan Or post about 100 links on all social networks, all using completely different anchor text and keywords(try it -it works)
