However my question is the degree of ranking achieved in the search engines from forum posting. What kind of shift have you seen in the ranking for keywords in the search engine as a direct result of forum posting?
The fastest way to build links is to have great content. Don't expect that to work with fairly new sites though. For new sites directory submissions and 3 way link exchanges are fast ways to gain backlinks.
Press releases won't build links. You'll just get spammed if you use the online PR companies. It doesn't work and I doubt you can afford the many thousands to hire a professional PR agency. But they don't do link building and that's that.
if you need fast quick links and get it to be indexed then u must do Social Book marking with quality sites, participate in popular forums, same as in article or ezine, blogging with "do follow" link, sure u will have good number of quality links
Link swapping with enough bulk to make any serious headway is currently too time consuming. There are just too many websites and webpages for any half-assed link campaign to work for 1 man websites, and make sites stand out to the extent needed for great success. I know how to do this, but I'm not letting on. This is so simple to do, and I'm amazed it's seems like every forum, blog and website etc hasn't worked it out yet. There are 3 things required to make this happen: 1. By using your homepages 2. Automating the process 3. ?????????? and the 3rd piece MUST be combined for it to work properly. The answer stares people in the face every single day hope this helps.
I prefer definately forum links. i have about 100 total posts across different forums and 200 inbound links to the site in one year. Is it enought?
I've used services that put up links for me, which was a total waste of money. I've tried directory submissions also with little success. The ones that have worked well for me are forums posting and commenting.
Here's what I know: Do one of those "600 directory" deals for 30 bucks. there is a guy on here that does it. Not sure of where the post is, but I have done it like 10 times now. Now I do it for all my clients. Forum signatures are a sure bet. All my DP posts show up in yahoo site explorer. Blog commenting is good too, on do follow blogs. Don't pay for links, or take paid links. I got one site under a google penalty for doing this. --All of these linking methods are faster than ezinearticles. What I don't know: Press releases.
It depends on the type of traffic you want too. I post a lot of related photos and videos on the variety of media sites and get SOME traffic from them.. but with high conversion on adsense. Unfortunately YouTube is nofollow now FlickR is good.
Get some email spider program to rip all the email address of webmasters for relevant websites. Email them asking for a recip link
I would suggest working on forums related to your niche and make comments on dofollow blogs to get links for your website quickly
Structured, valid, strong comments on influential blogs. Try not to 'sell' your site, rather leave link via name and URL in comment
at socialmarking you can get 500 directory submissions for 30 bucks. I think they have some social bookmarking services too. saves you a heck of a lot of time.
As long as you've got some good content on your site, social book markings good. Get's picked up by Google pretty quickly!
If you can buy sig links and links then that's one quick way. But then theres "Don't pay for links, or take paid links. I got one site under a google penalty for doing this" - can you buy links AND avoid this?
