    The best way to submit your sites in directoires is by submitting by using tools like informenter and roboform! :)

    I just tried informenter and it rocks. Thanks for that. Still not totally automated but very quick to set up and simple to use for 6 sites.

    how exactly would you automate a process that requires letters usually to be entered manually via looking at a block of scribbled text???

    that would be the one manual step :) You're not supposed to automate it.

    In the case of my xml suggestion - you'd fill it in once per bulk entry.

    If you're too lazy to do the directory submission try purchasing directory submission service. Automatic directory submission isn't good at all. You might be banned on other directory if they found you using some automatic software to submit your site. ;)

    one free way :) is to make use of your forum signature!
    Bots constantly crawl forums and will follow any links that they find and index them...so put a link to your site in every signature on every forum you belong to and before long your sites will be indexed by the major search engines.
