FastClick vs. DoubleClick

Does anyone have experience with these two companies as advertisers? Good? Bad? Something else better?

 

I have only used Fastclick. It's been ok but CPM is very very low. DoubleClick rejected my vegetable cruelty site. I guess it's too weird for them or something.

 

do you get to choose your sites to advertise on or is that done automatically?

 

When did they re-open their publisher program? I thought they basically decided to stick to providing ad technology and not get into advertising business itself.

 

Not sure... but I have been using them for well over a year.

 

Sorry... I misread the initial post. I use them as a publisher but have not as an advertiser. I have three sites approved for publishing with Fastclick and all three get pretty similar CTRs - bad. Except for the pop-under campaigns.

 

that's ok. i'm trying to branch outside of the se's, but having a hard time determing that with the highest roi.

 

DoubleClick's web site is all DoubleSpeak.

I could not locate the page there to sign up as a publisher after several minutes of reading their marketing DoubleSpeak.

FastClick works... if you are willing to subject your users to popups.

 

I have a good experience with doubleclick. Espcially their reporting is nice!
