I actually like the old fastclick website better. The new one doesn't look that good...I don't know. Also when I go to the login page, there is a letter H in the advertiser login...is that suppose to be there? Kinda weird...not sure.

They say higher rates...I bet...but we will see.

Besides the front page, the CP was ported from Fastclick i.e. it's the exact same thing. :) But yeah, hope they get better rates and more ads. I'm tired of defaulting my Fastclick ads to Casale et al.

Is casale not that good when compared to VCM (valueclickmedia)? It's gonn abe a while before I get use to typeing Valueclickmedia...lol.

I'm not business student, but the rates should go up...I did see them writing that on one of their pages.

Well all I can say is that rates better improve very fast as I have seen them drop by more than half.

I use to be getting around $0.45 - $0.70 CPM, but now I am getting a horrid $0.27 CPM on average for the whole of April so far. I know that there has only been two days in this month so far, but anyway. Theres are the lowest rates I have ever had from FastClick since I joined it well over a year ago.

It is a little strange that now they have merged both of the networks together that I have suddenly received the lowest rates I have ever had with them for two consecative days in a row.

I need to make a living of this, but with $0.27 I am not really making much of a profit as my hostings bandwidth works out around $0.25 for every 1000 page impressions on average.

Wow, this reply is going to be soooooooo late, sorry, azn_romeo LOL. But to answer your question, it's not really that the rates are so far apart (although they are; Fastclick/VCM actually targets certain groups of ads to certain sites, which is something I don't believe Casale does), plus the fill rate for Fastclick is easily better than Casale, which averages 30-35% on my site. Even using Casale as the third link in my chain, they are constantly defaulting to my fourth and fifth network. A shame, really, as they used to be so dependable, or so I hear...

    is it me or..

I can't reach the website www.valueclickmedia.com. Fastclick.com wants to redirect me but it's a no-no. Not a very good selling point.

Is VCM the best CPM out there??

It is working fine for me. VCM use to be the best program for me, but now I think it is Casale at the moment as I have seen rates drop by about half since it has merged. I have noticed that may rates has risen a little today though so they maybe on a recover.

    Fine for me as well.

Are they the best? Second only to Tribal Fusion, but right now Tribal Fusion is second only to Gorilla Nation for me.

When you say Gorilla Nation, do you mean gorillanation.com?

If so then they need to do some work on their site. Their site looks totally messed up using Firefox.

thanks for that quick info jackburton.

I don't think, there's anything to worry about at the moment...it's only been less than a week since the official launch of VCM. It's going to get interesting by the end of the month I think.

They are primarily an entertainment-driven niche ad network. I.e. if you have a movie site or something related to the world of entertainment (music, video games, etc.) they're the guys to go to. Their branded campaigns can't be beat; I only run those through them, and default to TF the rest of the time. They've been around for a long time, so don't worry about payment.

I will give them a blast then. How much are you averaging on CPM?

It averages to about $2. I would rather run their branded campaigns, which clocks in at around $4-5, but they do require you to run some of their ROS generic ads, which brings the CPM down a tad.

Is that $2 CPM for normal ads or is it for popunders and things.
