My roommate. As far as the servers being weird... There currently is a "situation" with the MySQL servers where mysqld (just the process) needs to be restarted about once a day (usually in the morning PST). It's due to a bug that is currently being evaluated by MySQL: http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=13578 But I might give up waiting for them to fix it and switch the db servers to a different operating system (probably SuSE Linux Enterprise) running on some sort of blade servers, because I'm getting really sick and tired of it myself.
Thank you shawn for clearing it up. I have used SUSE i like it a lot also something to consider is Redhat 9.0 or FreeBSD.
