Hi fastreplies, I'm not necessarily referring to free directories. Some directories do tend to include most, if not all, of the submissions they receive. But some tend to be selective and will only give preference for those who include reciprocal backlinks. Also these sites may have a policy of not including deeplinks in the free category.

You should visit the directory to find out if the directory is accepts submissions for a specific country. The domain name is not a reliable way of telling.
