Hello, I have read before that fast link building harms your website PR, is that right? Does anybody have a link to a google article that confirms this for sure? If it is true, then what is maximum number of links should i build per day in order not be harmed? Thanks for your help
It really not hurt but it also don’t Increase your SERP. but if you do this type of link building for long time say one year. Then you can see a good SERP. There is a very good example to explain this situation. One site name seoworldchampionship.com launches in mid October and they follow the same fast link building strategy in 6 months there PR has gone up to 6 in six month.
I think it's all a matter of scale. If you're talking adding thousands and thousands of links a day, that might stand out as a little suspicious. Adding somewhere in the range of 10 to 100 a day? Eh, I can't see how it can make that much of a difference.
Yeah, the question is what 'fast' really means. I think it depends on how fast google spiders the websites you've placed links on. For example you could post with some automatic software to more than 500 directories in an evening and you get accepted to 150-200 of them in the next couple of days, then it'll be at least a month or two before Google finds most of those links. A problem might occur if you're using an automatic blogger.com generator because of pinging Google will most likely spiders all the blogs in a short amount of time. So you have to be very careful when going this way.
Thanks every body for replying. But i have another question here. Can only links from directories, blogs and forums get me a good SERP, or i must buy quality links?
nothing outside ur site can hurt u. if lots of links quickly to a site, hurt, then people will do it for the competitors in order to hurt their PR
Pretty much all is relative....... But! As fast link building in particular may not hurt your website, fast link building on unrelevant sites may set off a google filter that is trying to detect mass payed link building which will get your site lost in the serps and nowhere to be found, also possible you may get greybared and lose all PR entirely....
