Usually the directories announced in the Solicitations and Announcements section approve quite quickly (the free ones) because their usually eager to get a few listings when their brand new.

Take a look at the list in my signature. Mostly newer directories that approve quickly.

 

DirFLy approves links within minutes. It never takes longer then 10 hours to get approved though ( Dir is not free)
