There is a website which is doing extremely well and ranking at No 1 position in google with "high competition" keywords. The website is www.silkscarvesindia.com . Whats so special in it ? The content is good but it does not have many quality inbound links. Only 5-10. It has a PR 3.
well,you can't know all the backlinks that website has .there are many factors that can determine the position in google .but,is it doing that well? i see it has very few visitors
actually, the keywords it ranks for are not competitive Dude!!!!!!!! Who told ??????? Its ranking with keyword "scarves", "silk scarves" etc. at No. 2 position. Scarves is a very competitive keyword.

The thing is, that particular site has more links. Please check in yahoo explorer. But the other point to make here is most of them are quality ones. Bottom line is make quality backlinks.
