Hi guys, I'm getting back into this years shows on the abc and this time I would like a reader that grabs all the feeds, but I have to confirm the download that I want it to do. So instead of subscribing and just having it download every video file that comes out, and in all formats, I want it to only download say the .mp4s and even then I don't want them all, only the ones I will get something out of. It's mainly for shows like Big Ideas here in Australia or the kind of talks you would find on TED and similar websites. Stuff that is importnat and should be seen by all. I know the game has changed when it comes to RSS so suggest away please... Cheers, meltinzone
With no responses already it still makes me think that after all these years no one still uses RSS. Surely some of you guys know what good RSS readers are out there? If not then research it for me, you know those massive orange squares with rounded edges and 3 curvy bent lines in them? That is RSS. Once you learn how to use them, well, let's just say it's a TRUE web jedi piece of knowledge. Please someone suggest me something.....
Try FeedDemon. It can automatically synchronize with Google Reader. The paid version lets you download podcasts.
Thanks for the reply nihangshah. I hear lots about google reader, but I look it as another way people know what I'm doing, I don't like big companies having access to these details. So is google reader really worth it?
Yes, it's really good. As for privacy, Google is very strict about that. All data is stored in highly encrypted database with 24/7 round-the-clock security in Google datacenters around the world.
