Just checkin to see who else on DP is a fan of the TV show "The Office". I don't watch much TV but this has to be my favorite show of all time! I think it's the first TV show that I actaully quote from on a regular basis with my friends (like I do with some of my favorite funny movies). It's one of those shows that only gets better the more you watch it too...

For those of you who like it, what's your favorite episode? What are some of your favorite quotes? I would have to say that one of my favorite clips is from "The Convict" episode when Michael Scott tries to scare his employees straight by turning into "Prison Mike"
There is a clip of the Prison Mike scene on my blog if you missed it. ;)

Here's an image I grabbed from the Prison Mike scene. I added some text and turned it into my desktop background: :)

I love this show! My friend turned me on to it just before Christmas so I'm pretty new to it all but now I PVR it (like Tivo but I'm in Canada) every week :) It's cool he was the 40 Year Old Virgin too.

I haven't watched too many episodes of the American one but I'm a huge fan of the original one. Ricky Gervais rules. :)

And no, I'm not disrespecting the U.S. version as the episodes I've seen are damn funny as well. :)

How would I describe myself? Three words — hardworking, alpha male, jackhammer. Merciless. Insatiable! :D

I finally just watched season 1 of the American version. I saw the British version some time ago and loved it.

Watching season 1 of the American version was like watching a rerun almost. It wasn't as good, but it was still decent.

Speaking of Ricky Gervais, I like his show Extras (it's on HBO).

Did you see the last episode of Extras (well, last here) with David Bowie?

    That show is hilarious.

you have to watch season 2 of the American one-- i felt the same way about it in season 1 -- i bought the DVD of the BBC version and loved i t-- season 1 was a basic copy of it, but it is really hitting it's own key now and is too funny

I haven't seen the US version, but the UK version was brilliant. Ground-breaking comedy at its best.

Yeah, and the part where he paid cash to sit on the same couch as those on the other side of "the rope."

The wig, the glasses, the catch phrase, BRILLIANT!
