Fancy dress ideas - sci-fi characters

Who can i dress as for the fancy dress party? Matt Cutts don't count. I only have a few days to decide and its bugging me. Any ideas?

That's not really a sci-fi character. I was going to go for a simple superman but i have already been one.

£700 for darth vader!!!

X wing fighter pilot.
Can be rustled up with an orange boiler suit, helmet, goggles, big boots, and a cardboard front panel.

Worked for me.
