We're pretty new (officially selling for 1 month now, only just started on DP). However, the team has been in the web/development business over a year now, managing our own server and hosting, we decided to go public with the hosting. As for CPU limit, none is set, basically the rule is that if you put such a strain on the CPU that it affects other customers (very unlikely), then you will be suspended. Upload limit (via php) is currently: 32MB, but I can change this if you wish (within reason). Regards, -Nick
Can i know the specs of the server & the datacenter ? so i can understand a lil bit more on the cpu usage limit & there must be a number on a cpu limit that a shared user cant pass over otherwise u suspend that account am i correct ? Thanks
There is no specific number, simply, if we see a process consuming lots of CPU, hence slowing the server, it will be killed off, and the target file/account notified or suspended (depending on constant/non-constant usage etc). Anything suited to shared hosting (most things) will be fine. Datacenter: HostNoc/Nocster/BurstNET (Scranton, Pennsylvania) Current Server: Dual Core Pentium D 3.0GHz, 2GB RAM, 250GB SATA II HDD, 100MBps Uplink with our servers, we don't purchase 8 core machines with 8gb ram, we instead have mid-range servers, but very few clients/server (we will NEVER let server load breach 1.5 on average, or memory above 80% average). This lowers bandwidth costs, reduces the risk of bad accounts on a server (protecting the customer more) and also allows each customer more of the 100MBps pipe.
Thanks for the interest, hoping to have some reviews soon, want me to PM you with links to them when/if they arrive?
