fan sites how to promote?

I just wondering, how could I promote my fan sites higher? besides link exchange and directory submission here?

Did you try submitting your fan sites to top sites for that specific celebrity ? (ex: top Coldplay fan sites, etc)

 

I think u can also get some links from the films site !
Social Bookmarking can also help u !

 

Fan site for what? Band? Movie? Sports Team?

 

Have you tired Wikipedia?

 

Social networking and bookmarking sites will help you in getting some traffic and possibly some backlinks aswell. The more who see your site from these social sites the higher the chance that they may link to you from their site, if they have a site.

 

Try promote in forum related

 

How about submitting some articles (with backlinks) or hiring a writer to write and submit articles for you?

 

Submitting to directories have helped me in the past. I remember making some tees with the url on them, as some nice art, it attracted people and i seen immediate hits on the site. Try promoting via tees or putting the word about your friends, putting links in signatures,
