Fan Art and Adsense?

Hey all, I was looking into putting up a blog or site with some of my fan art, I like drawing different popular characters from movies, comics and tv. Would I run into trouble utilizing adsense on a page like that?

If it makes any difference, what about art that depicts different popular characters but "parodied" in a singular style - For example, drawings of Darth Vader, Spider-man, David Letterman, Kobe Bryant and others depicted as they would look if they appeared on South Park? or on the Simpsons?

I'm just a little unclear on the guidelines for something like that. I see fan sites online featuring Adsense ads as well as other ads, often these sites have their own works on them like fan wallpapers and drawings. Anyway, i'm new to the Adsense concept and I'm not sure how that would work and was just wondering if this was an avenue I should look at.

    Thanks for the help!!

Im not 100% sure but i think it would be fine, its your own work, your not trying to pass it off as something else, i imagine your site will clearly show that its fan art, i think adsense on a site like this would be fine, but to be totally sure, could be worth contacting them.
