Famous Blog - 300k u/m - $3000 + pm income

I have decided to sell my main blog - http://tutorialblog.org so i can concentrate on some new projects.

This is a very high traffic blog, averaging around 10-15k uniques per day and is highly ranked (1,614) on technorati - http://www.technorati.com/search/http://tutorialblog.org/

    Its a PR5 site and ranked 8,995 on alexa - http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?q=&url=tutorialblog.org

Its an authority site so most posts we make rank on google on the frontpage, we have loads of top rankings ( eg - free photoshop brushes, 1st page for photoshop tutorial etc etc) too many to list here.

The site has over 58,000 incoming links - https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.c...orialblog.org&bwm=i&bwmf=a&bwms=p
    Including loads of .edu links.

The buyer of this site will receive :
    * The blog which runs on wordpress with a custom theme developed by my company
    * Mybloglog community with 128 members - http://www.mybloglog.com/buzz/community/tutorial-blog/
    * 3 Wordpress themes available for download which have linksback to the site - http://tutorialblog.org/downloads/
    * 3000+ RSS Subscribers via feedburner
    * A widget which people can place on their sites, myspace etc - http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/tutorial-blog
    * Our private advertisers contact details to continue the relationship with them

I have uploaded screenshots of all the refferers, adsense screenshots, traffic etc here : http://tutorialblog.org/sale

This is a quality site which has been established since 2005,
because of the amount of money involved then if the buyer wishes to use escrow that is fine, we will split the fees 50-50.

Im not interested in any part-finance deals etc.

I will also provide resources that I use to make blog posts and promotion tips to the buyer.

Costs for running this blog are hosting which will require 300gb - 400gb per month, I currently host this on my dedicated server but any hosting package which can cater to that bandwidth requirements will do.

I believe there is great room to expand this site, for example I thought about having sub-domains for software tutorials, pc/mac hardware tutorials and a forum would be a great addition as it definately has the traffic to launch one successfully.

If you have any questions, please feel free to pm me to discuss the sale.

Once again see http://tutorialblog.org/sale for proofs of revenue and traffic.

How much of work does this site take and did you deduct a fair cost of that work from your earnings figures?

Who will continue to write articles, promote via digg etc. I take it it's been you who has been doing that so far?

    Hi There,

Yes I have been writing the content so far, I spend around an hour on each article and aim for around 4 articles per week.
We also have one guest writer who writes for free and we use an adsense plugin so he gets all the revenue on pages he writes.

    Thanks for your reply.

I believe that you put in a lot of effort to get the traffic to the current position. In addition to researching and writing articles (which it would take someone like me a LOT more than an hour each) you promoted them, used your networking skills to get them publicity etc. Which is great, congratulations! But, even if you spent no money on promotion you've spent a lot of time and used a lot of skill. Also, private link sales to the tune of $600 don't just drop by on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Deducting that time cost - and hosting costs - my estimate of net profit here is below $2K per month.

Because of the skill and effort this site probably requires (which I am sure you won't agree to ;)) I will start the DP bidding at $10,000.

Thanks for your bid Foggy but its a bit on the low side ;)

Actually the link sales do just drop by - I get at least one or two emails a day asking to buy advertising; I'm turning people down now!

How much on the low side? Seeing that I'm your sole bidder so far there's no point in me going up by $10 installments till I find your real reserve ;)

Yep, sorry - I got a warning from the mods for bumping this thread?!

Starting bid is $40,000 as stated.

If I dont reach that then I'm happy to hang on to the site.
