Hey Guys!

It's time for another of my Famous Contests! This time the contest will be easy: just a simple logo design (please use Illustrator so logo can be scaled). Seven days total so everyone who wants to has enough time. I will make comments during the entire contest. You do not have to be invited to enter; anyone can enter. I welcome people of all skill levels.

ABOUT ME:
I have been doing contests here on DP for over three years. I have hosted dozens of contests. I always comment on every design, announce a winner, and I always pay.

The logo should be similar to the current logo. We do not want too many changes. We want to keep it minimalistic and use blue colours and possibly a touch of red (see the website screenshot for exact shades). The only thing that needs to be in the logo is the company name. The slogan(s) are up to you. Adding a little logo image is also up to you. Just remember: minimalism, blue, and for a non-profit.

CONTEST DETAILS:
1. Submit logo design entries for 7 days. I will post comments during those seven days (although bare with me this weekend as I am out of town).
2. To be fair: No entries via PM and no late entries, please.
3. Once time is up, I will review all designs thoroughly and announce the winner.
4. Winner provides the following: 1) vector Illustrator file and 2) any fonts used. I will send $79 via PayPal and give honest iTrader.

RULES:
By submitting an entry, you agree to the following:
1. You must create the designs yourself. No templates. You must not use any images you do not have the right to use.
2. If you use a watermark on the image posted in this thread, please PM me a non-watermarked version. I promise to not steal your logos!
3. Only the winner(s) agrees to transfer me rights to that design. I will not use any of the other designs and feel free to remove them from this thread once the contest is over.
4. By accepting the winnings, you agree to give me full rights to your design and you agree that you will not use this design for anything else.

Hey, I don't use illustrator or photoshop but I can create great logos. Any way to get around this?

My try

Here is the info:
- Vector
- Original
- Made it simple as you want.
- About the tag line, let me know if this needs some work.
- 2 Fonts used.
- Colors of the site used.

The downside:
- Tried to put a flame eye(representing fuel) in the bird(representing freedom) but the bird looked "angry", so I didn't put it lol. If you want to see it, let me know. :~)

Cool, the designs are looking good so far! I'll do my best to post some comments on all the designs before I leave for the weekend!

I'm open to suggestions!

The main concern is that the logo can be easily used on the website and on letterheads and such without a lose in quality. That is why I prefer Illustrator. If you have any other method or use a different program that achieves these same goals, I am certainly open to them! Just let me know before you start.

I like it. Have mixed feelings about showing the logo on the actual website. Would like to see it with a white/grey background so it is easier to compare if you are willing to send that. Also, please PM me a version without watermarks so I can clearly see the logo and make a proper judgement.

The colours are nice but maybe a little too dark. I would prefer slightly lighter shades. I love the slogan you used. It is probably one of my favourites. I like the idea of the crossed off oil droplet but it looks like a water droplet and I don't want people to think the company is against water or something

I like this logo also. The slogan is real nice too. I like how you gave it a very subtle American vibe--this is what we want but it has to be subtle. The droplet here can also be a little confusing. I would say, just stay away from droplets, just in case. It is a cool idea but I don't want to confuse anyone who sees the logo.

I felt like the font was a little too fun and round for the main part of the logo. I would want a different font which shows this is a serious non-profit with a serious message.

Very interesting concept. I love these types of logos. In this case, it may take people a little too long to figure out what the logo says but I'd love to see similar ideas. The colours are good.

I love the simplicity. The cleanness of the slogan is perfect. I love the colours, font-type, and style of the slogan. I like the little icon for the logo but what is it? Is it a paper bird? The font for the main logo is very strong. I think I like it. Will need to think about that one. Thank you for keeping your watermark off the main image.

 

All of the logos so far included the same colours. I do like those colours, but please feel free to experiment a little bit. I love experimentation with logos and unique ideas!

 

I'm really glad you like it Yeah it's a paper bird (known as origami) which represents freedom. It's fully vector so I can make it as big as a billboard too If you want some edits please let me know, but I will surely do experiment with colours and show you some updates
