I hate Flash! (I had a typo in the intro .... Sorry)

    Why?

As a broadcaster of streaming media I have had to battle with Flash versus Browser acceptance controversy for years. Since it is a "plug in" I have always hated the thought that I have to depend on people with outdated browser technology, or anyone for that matter, to have to install ANYTHING to listen to my radio shows.

I thought is was "cute" when Macromedia developed it, but I was appalled when it became the default method for streaming media. I have been looking for a universal way to stream my media every since, but nothing has really come of age.

    I just read this... http://news.cnet.com/8301-30685_3-20000037-264.html?tag=newsLeadStoriesArea.1

And I was wondering what my fellow webmasters thoughts where on the subject. Thanks...:D

I think they will both have their respective place on the web. For streaming music, podcasts, etc I think HTML5 will take over, but flash will be for movies and games.

Can't have your cake and eat it too unfortunately. Having to accommodate extra plugins is my main issue. HTML 5 addresses that, but is not in full operation yet.
