False rankings again! Everyone knows if we search and visits our own sites when we are logged into google, that google remembers the sites that we have visited and personalises our results... (putting our own sites at the top for our searches) so seo guys like me, are constantly logging out to see true rankings. I assume this is also to help stop seo'ers. Well now, I am noticing sites that i have visited at the top of searches, even when i have logged out! When i use a different computer on the same IP, i get real results. So i am assuming, google is remembering our computers searches... i tried deleting cookies, now i am having to use proxies to check out real results.. but i end up getting different results that to what i would get here, as the proxy server is in america. How are fellow seo'es getting around this, as its a real pain in the ass!
I personally, use DP's Keyword Tracker, rather than loomking up a SERP directly on Google. http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/
If you are talking about where your website ranks for a SERP, then that's exactly what the keyword trackers does, for any major search engine, not just Google. And it tracks historical significance, so you can do trend analysis.
Hello! Where have you been? Google has been showing personalized search results now for a couple of weeks... whether you're logged in or out of your Google account. Straight from Google's official blog...
You need to check it on multiple datacentre check at- http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/multiple-datacenter-keyword-position/
yes I did notice, but I didnt see that blog. I check all my sites daily, so it was noticeable. Thanks for the link.
