False Information When Purchasing Website

    I recently purchased a website called www.host-tutors.com

The transaction was done through Escrow so the actual transfer of the website was okay, it was just backed by false information of the amount of uniques it had monthly and the income.

The auction provided proof of sales and traffic, but we all know Photoshop is one awesome program.

When I went to question him, it seemed he had deleted his gmail account. Is there any way to track this guy down? Or anything I can do about it?

Report it to flippa and move on. Chalk it up to experience.

If the amount deserves escrow, then it probably deserves 30 days to prove stats....
His money would have been safe and secured in escrow, and if he said no, then I see red flags....
The site itself has very few backlinks; Did you even do any basic research on the site?

Yeah I also don't think there is too much you can do. If the money was release from Escrow then it's probably the last you will see of it.
Best bet is to take the hit and move on. Best of luck and this can be a valuable lesson for the future.

Mistakes can be our best teachers.
