Hi all, My traffic has been steadily increasing the whole year since March 2010 uptil November. However, i see a decline in traffic in the month of December. Is this normal or is everyone facing the same problem? Does the Christmas break or new year fever got something to do with this? Back linking has been going on regularly. Nothing has been changed on the site. Can someone please advice as this scaring me off!

Well, what niche are you in? It could very well be that people are not interested in your niche this time of year. Just like health/exercise products get the most popularity around January. I don't think you should worry about this, it's too early to tell if this is because of your website. Overall, it seems you are still getting a good amount of traffic. What I would do is wait it out a couple of weeks, and see how the traffic is from there. If it is dropping, check to see when your niche is the strongest (time of year) and when it is the weakest. If it's a clickbank product, check out CBtrends to see what sells best at what times. Even if you don't have a clickbank product, you can check which niches sell at which times of the year.
Like Whothar said, some industries tend to die down around this time of the year due to the holiday season.
Well mine is related to baby care and parenting. I think this niche is hot the whole year as new parents always require advices. My earnings are only from Adsense and entirely depend on the traffic that comes in. Again today was horrible day in terms of earnings, whats wrong with the drop in traffic! :-(
i think you dont update your site regularly and you should so this also start sharing your links with other s on fac book an s other social sites
Update your on-page contain & share link to social bookmarking like twitter, facebook, linkeden... social networking help you to generate more traffic.

Yeah I am to facing the same problem in the month of December.Today I have noticed I new thing while surfing into googel that it only displays the local search as per your IP address.
