The increasing frequency of Google updates including the introduction of Penguin and Panda is causing major problems for many not JUST spam based sites. Have webmasters finally fallen out of love with Google?
I could be wrong, but I don't think it's as much a matter of webmasters being in love with Google, as it is users being in love with Google. As long as the vast majority of people choose Google as their preferred search engine, we as webmasters can't help but try and cater to the Google god.
I think in time, users are going to see the improvements other search engines have made like Bing. For example, Facebook may be the biggest social media site, but a lot of people still use Twitter and Pinterest. Along those same lines, Google is the biggest search engine provider, but a lot of people still use Bing and Yahoo.
Part of the problem for google was that it was becoming too easy to spam Google with low quality content that's primary goal was to make money. Updates like Panda and Penguin have attempted to rectify that.
I set up computers for most of my family and friends.. they all use bing now... I'm tired of google telling me what my website should be like...
After Panda and Penguin update Google has improved quality of search results because lots of spammed websites goes out of search engine results.
What some people forget to remember is that updates such as Penguin and Panda don't just serve to remove spam sites they serve to improve the overall quality of search engine results, thus their core goal is not to penalise spam sites solely but also to readjust the whole search engine landscape to conform further with user interests, that might mean a quality site gets less traffic because Google judges that another site is of higher quality. Google is not necessarily saying that a site or article is spam, it is more likely saying that another site or article is better. Admittedly some mistakes will always be made by such sweeping changes but Google are happy to rectify them by taking manual action. If webmasters are falling out of love with Google for its consistent change and improvements aimed to benefit the user, then they likely don't deserve the search engine rankings they desire.
Although I have heard of many people being upset after the latest Google updates, most are from webmasters. Users still find what they are looking for with Googles algorithm and will continue to use Google and make it #1 for some time to come. So maybe its time to fall back into love with Google. Best of luck with your website and happy posting.
As long as Google has it's dominant place in the market webmasters will always focus more on Google than any other search engine. having said that, there is no lover affair with webmasters and Google. It's strictly business. For the public in general, Google is as much of a habit as it is a choice, and they make up the vast majority of Google users.
In answer to the OP, I would say no. If you want to jump start your website, blog, ecommerce store, etc., using Google is still a good way to grow it. I only use Google for an initial burst. Prior to and during that burst of traffic I focus on quality content and building niche specific backlinks from forums, news sites, etc.
Actually Google is not doing the wrong thing. If you get the money so easily then sooner or later your option of income will be closed. But If they remain strict then others will get the opportunity to earn for a long time. The main thing Google want to do is to give the audience the best result that they are finding. And for me its not bad dude.
I also agree with you to Google have to improve his policy for SEO on his Google panda and Google penguin update. Because this update snatched some website PR and ranking in search engine. But true that this thing is good for quality website. And Google always provide best search thing on search engine.
at this point, Google is 95% of the internet, if not more... If you do not make it with google, then you are not going to make it period... Google dumps legit adsense members all day along... Do you really think google cares how you feel about them? For every 1 that hates them, there are 10 more that love them...
