Hi. I have an online store set up with all the items I'll ever sell on there already on there. I'm doing fine with the serps on Yahoo, but I've dropped a considerable amount on Google because I haven't updated it in a while..that's my guess anyways. Any ideas how to deal with this problem? Is it just a backlinks issue? I'm doing fine for keyword density on the site.
Yes, google bots do look at websites content. When ever websites are crawled by google, bots check for content, working links, and every other natural website needs. Hope this helps Brandon
You're answering your own question. Update the site then. Since you've added all the items you can for sale, start adding articles written about the niche/theme you're selling in.
Add a blog section to your site. Just keep writing short posts about the new products, new trends in your niche or any related news. But more than that you need a continuous influx of inbound links to rank well in google.
Google bot are checking content and links. you can maintain quality content, increase 5% keyword density.
Rather than giving out general advice, I'm going to ask you what the site is so I can drill right down to the heart of the real problem. Can you post a link here?
