fall in traffic why?

I was monitoring my site exactly when it comes near to christmas or newyear the total traffic is reduced to 1/4th of the traffic which i gained in this year, This is the second time it happens, why its happenning, people are not browsing in the time of christmas or newyear, what are the steps i need to take to avoid this happenning next year.

There is a natural increase in online activity in mid-november leading up to Christmas. People searching for gifts and ideas. Then it drops just before christmas.

Just a natural wave of activity - nothing you can do to change it IMO

 

Not all website traffic is created equal. There is general traffic and targeted traffic. General traffic will have a low sales conversion of 1% or less. Targeted traffic often yields a much higher sales conversion rate of 4% and higher. Most websites rely on general traffic and have a pitiful sales conversion rate of 0.5%.

 

There's many reasons why that could be. Did you lose rankings on any search engines? Are people simply searching your keywords less at a given time? You should check the search trends. Like for mine, twice as much people search up my targeted keywords in July than November.

 

If this happened for the past two years, there may be a seasonal effect for your website's niche and you can do nothing about it.

 

its not 100% due to christmas, bcoz almost all my site traffic and rank down, something going on in google

 

Yeah!! It happened for one of my sites too. The traffic went down almost 1/4th.
May be a preview of what'll happen when caffeine comes out.

 

My site also down traffic in this month.

 

Mine also down 3 times in this month
and the later is the worst ever (has been 3 days till now) I only get 1/3 of normal daily visitors

 

People are busy man. That's it. They are traveling and having a holiday. It will get back to normal after mid-January or sooner.

 

I'm also experiencing a decrease in traffic.
But I do understand because people are too busy preparin for the holidays and they don't have much time to use the internet.

 

Yes....This can only be the reason.....Am having approx half of my constant traffic now.......

Was worried a bit....But nothng can be done...........lolx
