Hey falafelro, why wouldn't you just do something like inserting the $hop into the affiliate link to the other site so that if the sale occurs, it is still your affiliate who brought the traffic that gets the sale. Perhaps that would be a little bit more fair since now you are still sending some of your affiliate traffic away. Else, you did a pretty good job. Keep it up.
