Is it me or are alot of people selling sites and domains with FAKE PR.

    Checking faked or false Pagerank
There are several methods of spotting faked pagerank.

    - One simple way is to check to see how many backlinks the site has. If a site has no (or very few) yahoo backlinks, then it should not have a high pagerank. For example a website claims to have a pagerank of 5+, but when you check it shows no or very few backlinks (100 is very low for a website of PR5).

***this is just my opinion, when the site has 1 backlink, or was just recently updated (even if it was created 1,2,3 years ago), and has a PR 2.3.4.5 then we have a problem.***

Is it me, am I missing something. http://www.realpagerank.info gives the current PR, and it will list it as VALID, just like 90% of other PR CHECKERS. BUT VALID means it is currently that PR, it dosen't mean it wasn't just BOUGHT with a PR and NO BACKLINKS, it means SINCE THE LAST GOOGLE minor/major update it has been that PR, THATS ALL!! I know guys who have linked a site to a high PR (forwarded), dropped the domain, and it took Google 7 weeks to bring it from a 5 to a 0. So if you were to buy it during that 7 week period, it would look valid, it would register PR 5, and it would have nothing for backlinks!!!

    Maybe its just me??
