I never heard of Fake PR it is only after i signed up on DP i came to know it existed what exactly is it ?
It's when you inherit the domain's PR that you redirect to. Do a 301 from your domain to Google and you will get Google's PR.
It is PageRank that is not real. For example: You create a site, then write a PHP script that redirects the user (or the bot in this case) to http://www.google.com/, if it is Googlebot. This way Google thinks it is the same site as www.google.com, and assigns the sum of the PR of the pages to both pages, resulting in your page having a PR10. The Google Toolbar will then display Pagerank: 10 when someone visits your site, but it doesn't really affect your rankings positively because Google doesn't display your site in SERPS anymore because it thinks it's not a unique page (but another URL for www.google.com). Edit: Tops30 gives an even simpler explanation
This alone should prove to all the non-believers, PR and ranking on serps, is like apples and marine biology
I don't think PR has anything to do with better search results or not. But I could be wrong. Fake PR is just redirecting your domain to lets say, Google. Then you will get Google's PR. As mentioned before in this topic.
Actually no, don't use things like this... fake pr... do it legit and you will have more benefit on the long term.
in my opinion, they are sites that redirect to another site with high PR. In other words, they are cloaked sites, that is very dangerous to SEs.
I have a website selling software, in particular a tftp server: www.gjsolutions(dot)co(dot)uk/qtftpd/ I have recently registered a domain name which is actually the name of my product called www.quicktftp(dot)com which is being redirected to my product page above ..... Are you saying this will actually hurt my SERP results !??!?!?!??!
No, it will not. It would be a different case if you would send only Googlebot to that page and display regular visitors an other page.
